The Formal Garden aims to blend the structure of a traditional victorian garden with the comfort of a cottage garden. Plant selections have been sympathetic to the local soil conditions. The fountain provides a focal centre to the area whilst the greenhouse and summerhouse bookend the garden.

At Lilypad House we aim to create an environment that is as abundant in wildlife as flora.
Lilypad House is a continually evolving space with new areas of the garden being transformed and the existing garden being improved, each year providing a new iteration building on the original structure.
At Lilypad House, it’s not just flowers. With c.50 fruit trees and the greenhouses fruit and vegetable are key part of the garden inventory. New vegetable gardens are planned for 2026.
